Waffle Making & Milkshake Training Course Schedule:
Learn the true art of commercial waffle-making with our Waffle & Milkshake Making Training Course, led by the UK’s crepe & waffle-making expert himself: Loic Moinon. Included in this booking is an accompanying Milkshake Training workshop where you can learn the science and skills necessary to make fresh, luxurious & delicious tasting shakes the way they are supposed to be made.
The course usually runs from 9.00am – 1.30pm, starting with a tea or coffee & some insider knowledge about business setup & equipment (be it for mobile or fixed outlets). Our aim is to gather a very good understanding about your own timescales for setup, your business model, profit & loss forecasts, kitchen/stall design, menu design & branding etc. We then proceed to the practical modules, learning how to make waffle first, moving on to milkshakes later on.
Of course, everybody is different & while some trainees may possess a natural flair for crepe or waffle-making etc., it may take others a bit more practice. We are proud to offer a fun & relaxed environment for all of our trainees, helping you master all the necessary techniques & answering all of your questions. Furthermore, the training doesn’t just end there! We are always a phone-call or an email away to answer any queries & offer as much support as you need.
Our Waffle & Milkshake Training Course covers:
Waffles Making:
- Batter mix preparation (2 or 3 mixes different depending on requirements, including Gluten Free)
- Advice on set-up, kitchen design, branding etc.
- Presentation of equipment, accessories & methodology
- Margins & cost calculations
- Portion control
- Waffle-making including take-away and/or table service garnishing
- Recipe suggestions & menu design ideas
- Cleaning & maintenance of equipment
We can also make the 3 waffle types on offer in the studio, being the ‘Round’ ones, the ‘Bubble’ ones or the ‘Stick’ ones. But we will obviously advise you on any other type of waffle you would like to offer your customers, including Liege Waffles.
Milkshake Making:
- Methodology using Blended Mixes or Ice Cream based Milkshakes
- Methodology covering simple Milkshakes and/or Thick Shakes and/or Freakshakes if required.
- Portion control
- Cleaning & maintenance of equipment
- Recipe suggestions & menu design ideas
- Margins & cost calculations
After all training modules have been completed we most generally focus on providing trainees with a full quotation on equipment, POS, supplies etc.

We are located above a restaurant called IL VESUVIO, and this one is visible from the large supermarket carpark (free) where the sat nav will take you. The building is dark red and you will see some Pancake World/Pancake Studio signs on it.
